More information about this Pirastro
The Pirastro P112251 A-2 gauge (14 3/4) violin string made of gut is an authentic choice for Baroque music. The string delivers a warm, full tone with a wide dynamic range, allowing both lyrical lines and expressive articulations to lean fully. This A-2 gauge provides the historically desired response and texture required for Baroque instruments and performances.
Specially developed for Baroque and historical performance, this gut string offers the characteristic warmth and clarity that modern materials often lack. It is ideal for violinists seeking an authentic gut sound in both traditional Baroque repertoire and reconstructions of earlier styles.
